Saturday 26 September 2020

We want everyone to be able to participate in the Rotorua Marathon! The 10km and 5.5km walk and run are non-competitive events held for people of all abilities. The minimum age for the 10km is 12 years old on race day and 10 years old for the 5.5km.

10km Teams Event

In 2020 we have introduced a new 10km teams event. Teams are to be made up of 5 people but you only pay for 4! Get your friends and family together and enter a team.

There will be a price for the winning team overall as well as a prize for the best dressed team. Please note all teams must be made up of 5 people. You will need to nominate a Team Manager, who will be the main point of contact for your team.

Team Manager Notes

Please note the team password you create as manager will not be emailed to you in a confirmation email. Ensure to note this down when you create it, as team members will need to use this when completing their individual entry online.

Steps to the process

  • As team manager once you have set up your team register yourself and pay your full team entry fee - you do this by selecting the '10km Team Entry' Entry Type
  • You will then be sent a Pin Code by Athletics NZ
  • Share this with your four team mates - they then go through and register (using PinCode and team password)
  • All team members should then receive unique confirmation emails
