The Child Cancer Foundation
The Child Cancer Foundation aims to reduce the impact of cancer by offering services that ensure children and their families are supported, informed and remain connected at every stage of their journey.
At any given time the Foundation is assisting more than 500 families’ nationwide – offering support in hospital, at home and in the community.
As a stand-alone charity that receives no direct funding from the government, the Child Cancer Foundation relies on the generosity of New Zealanders to help it deliver its practical and meaningful assistance to families when they need it most.
The Child Cancer Foundation aims to meet the needs of each individual family, helping them to stay united and resilient throughout this often turbulent time.
Mental Health Foundation NZ
The Mental Health Foundation NZ is a registered charity working towards a society where all people enjoy positive mental health and wellbeing.
Nearly 50% of Kiwis will experience mental illness in their lifetime, affecting the lives of every person, family and whanau in New Zealand. We provide up-to-date information on mental health topics ranging from: depression and other mental illnesses, to suicide prevention, bullying, and coping with grief and loss. We help individuals and whanau/family to understand what their loved ones are going through, and how best to support them and look after themselves.
The support we provide can range from helping one family distressed by a child showing signs of depression and wondering what to do, to giving mental health workers quality information to help their client’s families. Through our programmes, websites, and social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, we touch the lives of more than 20,000 New Zealanders every month.
Becoming part of the Mental Health Foundation team means that you are helping us support the overall mental health of Aotearoa and ending the stigma and discrimination of mental illness nationwide.
