Q: What is a pin code, I don't have one of these?
A: PIN codes are used for discounts for members of Athletics New Zealand clubs, marathon partners and sponsors or promotions we may run from time to time. If you have not received a PIN code please ignore this section.
Q: We are planning on entering a group from work / friends / club – Can we get a discount
A: Yes, we do offer group discounts for large groups from one organisation or business. Please contact Jenna at email@example.com who handles our general/registration enquiries.
Q: Is there a time limit for the events?
A: Official event timing will cease at 5pm. Those crossing the finish line after this time will be deemed not to have finished and will not be eligible for the finisher's medal (Full Marathon only).
Q: I want to enter as a Competitive Walker – I cannot see this option when entering?
A: There is one walking category for both the Full Marathon and Red Stag Timber Half Marathon. More information here:
Q: What are the start times for the Full Marathon?
A: All start times are listed on the individual event pages.
Q: Are there limited numbers for the events?
A: Depending on entries there may be restrictions in some events depending on the popularity of any specific event. Best to get in quick to avoid disappointment!
Q: Where are the drink stations?
A: Drinks stations are shown for the Full Marathon here and for the Red Stag Timber Half Marathon here.
Q: Do I get a t-shirt or anything included with my entry?
A: Event t-shirts are available to purchase, all Full and Red Stag Timber Half Marathon competitors will get a running cap included with their entry. All finishers for each race will receive a medal.
Q: Where do I collect my t-shirt?
A: From Event Registration either on Friday 25 September at the Energy Events Centre, or on the morning of Saturday 26 September from 6.30am from the same venue. Further information on race day can be found here.
Q: Are we allowed dogs to come around the course with us on a lead?
A: No pets allowed at all times. Event Rules can be found here.
Q: Will I get a finishers medal?
Answer: Yes! Participants in all distances will receive a finishers medal.
