PRIZE GIVING

The Red Stag Rotorua Marathon will feature a reimagined format for Prize Giving. Check out the timetable for timings an locations!

Prize Money
The winning female and male runners in the Full Marathon will receive prize money of $1,500.

Awards Ceremonies 

Will take place on stage at the lakefront reserve opposite the finish area at the following times: 
Midday 5km and Go Media 12km events 
1.00pm NZCT Half Marathon 
3.00pm Red Stag Marathon  

The awards ceremonies will be 30 to 45 minutes in duration and will include MC welcome, presenters’ acknowledgements, merit and age group awards (NZCT Half Marathon and Red Stag Marathon only) and major spot prizes (to be confirmed in March 2025). 

The adverse weather contingency venue for the awards ceremonies at the same times will be the Batten One and Two and Rutherford Rooms within the Novotel Rotorua opposite the finish area. 

Merit Awards 
1st, 2nd & 3rd overall male and female in the 5km run 
1st, 2nd & 3rd overall male and female in the Go Media 12km run 
1st, 2nd & 3rd overall male and female in the NZCT Half Marathon 
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th overall male and female in the Red Stag Marathon

Note: merit award placegetters in the NZCT Half Marathon and Red Stag Marathon will be eligible for age group awards as below.

Walkers
Prizes to the first three male and female walkers in each of the following grades (age as on race day): Male and Female 16-44 and Male and Female 45+.

Spot Prizes
Spot prizes can be won after picking up your event number at registration. Spot prizes will be randomly drawn from all event entrants at the Prize Giving.
